Sound insulation

Sound insulation is of great importance to our health and well-being.
Thanks to its solid construction and seamless final structure, the VST permanent formwork system has excellent acoustic characteristics.

Airborne sound insulation

Airborne sound insulation of walls is to be assessed under final usage conditions in accordance with EN ISO 140-3:1995. Alternatively, calculations have been performed as per EN 12354.

The following tests were conducted to ascertain airborne sound insulation:

  • Laboratory measurements of airborne sound insulation on 3 walls (total thickness = 200 mm, 230 mm and 250 mm respectively); conducted and documented by AP – Applied Precision Ltd, Technicka 5, 82104 Bratislava - Slovakia.
  • Expert calculations conducted by: Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. techn. Gerhard KRAML, civil engineer, Castellezgasse 15, A 1020 Vienna.
