The VST permanent formwork system
As an innovator and long-time specialist in composite formwork technology, the VST Group not only develops patented solutions, but also covers the complete range of services from project planning right up to the passive house standard.
Basically, the techniques for creating the shell are very traditional. Though there have been a lot of advancements in building materials and construction equipment, the relevant methods have remained unchanged for many generations.
Having recognized systemic limits, the VST Group is now exceeding them successfully with a self-developed, highly productive, yet easy to use composite formwork system - in fact, this has been realized for many years on an international scale.
The system makes it possible to tailor products to the building owner's requirements. Based on the principle of permanent formwork, the patented, customizable VST system is prefabricated industrially to permit real "off-site" construction.
The wall and ceiling elements make up the composite shell which is assembled true-to-size at the construction site and receives its final stability during concreting.
The outcome is a high-quality, proven, air-tight, in-situ, solid construction of a stable and durable nature and a lasting value.
Passive-house compatibility was demonstrated in a research project, and the system subsequently certified by the PHI (Passive House Institute) in Darmstadt (Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Feist) as a Component Suitable for Passive Houses. A comprehensive, detailed and audited database guarantees maximum effectiveness.
The VST system has been used to realize construction projects of all possible scales.
Fast, accurate and convincing in terms of results.
Applications
The VST system can be used cost effectively in all areas of building construction. It is suitable for all load-bearing and bracing components forming part of a shell structure.
The VISIT blends the benefits of reinforced concrete:
- absorption of high compressive and tensile forces
- high resistance to earthquakes
- good sound insulation
- high heat storage capacity
with the benefits of woodwork:
- pleasant room climate thanks to efficient humidity compensation
- nearly constant surface temperature on the cement-bonded, particle board
